On Saturday, a large gathering of Ugandans assembled at the Mayor\’s Gardens in Mityana District, where Hajjat Hadijah Uzeiye Namyalo Uzeiye, the Senior Coordinator in the Office of the National Chairman (ONC), launched the #JajjaOmalako #TovaKuMain2026 campaign. The ruling NRM party supporters were there to back President Museveni\’s bid for the 2026 elections.
Arriving Saturday afternoon, Hajjat Namyalo, who also serves as the Senior Presidential Advisor on Political Affairs (SPA), was accompanied by several other ONC coordinators from across the country. Her arrival was met with enthusiastic cheers from the thousands of supporters and other Mityana political leaders present.
Hajjat Namyalo, during her speech, emphasized that she had primarily come to understand the challenges faced by the people and to address these issues through her office. She encouraged the locals to utilize government programs like Emyooga and the Parish Development Model to enhance their household incomes and alleviate poverty.
While acknowledging the presence of the PDM and Emyooga programs, Hajjat Namyalo highlighted that many individuals are left out. This new campaign, she explained, aims to bridge this gap. She reassured the Mityana community of President Museveni\’s and the government\’s commitment to bettering their lives through various development initiatives.
Hajjat Namyalo also urged the attendees to continue exploring all options to generate income and assured them that President Museveni\’s \”Ekibaalo\” approach is a proven method for wealth creation among Ugandans. She encouraged the crowd to avoid opportunistic politicians and heed President Museveni\’s advice on overcoming the prevalent issue of low or no household income in the Buganda Subregion.
In addition to her commitment to the president\’s promises, Ms. Namyalo donated an array of items to the Bazzukulu, including sewing machines and hair dryers, to help women start income-generating businesses. She also promised to return to launch poultry and hybrid goat farming projects.
The event concluded with the endorsement of President Museveni\’s 2026 candidacy, signed and affirmed by various leaders.
The #TovaKuMain2026 campaign, which began in October 2022, has been steadily gaining traction as it advocates for President Museveni\’s continued leadership beyond the 2026 elections. Under Hajjat Namyalo\’s leadership, the ONC has initiated the TovaKuMain2026 campaign in several districts, including Mbale, Masaka, Bukomansimbi, Kalangala, Namutumba, and Jinja, among others. Mityana is now added to this list, with many more districts yet to join as Hajjat Namyalo continues her efforts to rally support for President Museveni\’s upcoming term.
