A man named Ronald Kyeyune, who resides in Bugembo village in Kayunga district has taken his new wife, Annet Kyazike, to the police for allegedly stealing several household items.
Kyeyune, a spare parts dealer, claims that he has noticed the disappearance of various belongings, including bedsheets, a bucket, and a flask, within four months of their marriage and suspects his wife of being responsible for the thefts.
Additionally, Kyeyune alleges that Kyazike took Shs200,000 in cash that he had kept at home.
Kyazike admitted to taking the items, stating that she did so to gather funds for her medical expenses. She expressed frustration with her husband, accusing him of being stingy and not adequately providing for her needs.
During the police inquiry, Muhammad Ssebuliba, the Kayunga Police Community Liaison Officer, mediated the situation and urged Kyazike to apologize to her husband, which she did.
However, Kyeyune demanded that his wife either pays him Shs500,000 or faces imprisonment for her actions, despite her apology.
