Seith Ampumuza, a 3rd-year Bachelor of Business Administration student at Kabale University, tragically lost his life to an electric shock on July 8, 2023.
The incident occurred during a function at an undisclosed garden on Mishenyi Road, off the Ntungamo-Kabale road in Itojo, Nyungamo.
According to eyewitness reports, Ampumuza, along with two others who are currently hospitalized, fell victim to the electric shock when they were attempting to lift a tent. It is believed that a tent pole came into contact with an overhead electric wire, which led to the tragic accident.
The victims were quickly rushed to a nearby hospital, but unfortunately, Seith Ampumuza could not be saved. The two other injured individuals remain under medical supervision, with their current conditions yet to be disclosed.
Seith’s untimely death has sent shockwaves through the local community and Kabale University. Friends, family, and fellow students are mourning the loss of a promising young life, cut short by a tragic accident.
The burial ceremony for Seith Ampumuza is scheduled for today, July 10, 2023, at his family’s residence in Itojo, Ntungamo district.
