In a shocking incident that took place on Friday night, a man named Richard Ssenyondo was gunned down by unknown thieves who had come to rob a mobile money shop in Luzira, along Lakeside road.
The incident took place around 7:30 pm and an eyewitness has told The Onion that more than 18 bullets were fired on the street to disperse people.
According to the eyewitness, Ssenyondo on hearing the bullets rushed to close his electronic shop, not knowing that one of the thieves was standing nearby.
The thieF shot him in the chest, and another lady was shot in the shoulder before the thieves ran off with the money they had stolen from the mobile money shop.
However, the thieves’ luck ran out as one of them was arrested in a fight with a plain-clothed policeman as he tried to change his magazine and jump on a standby boda boda.
Police is expected to issue a statement regarding the incident today.
